Abstract: Reproduction safety implies that people are able to have safe and satisfied sexual life with no worry about suffering sexual associated diseases,as well as a complete safe and healthy state related to all functions and processes of human reproduction, including pregnancy, embryo development, neonatal and child development. One of the reproduction safety research priority areas is the potential risks of assistded reproductive technology (ART). It is suggested:①National and global ART surveillance programmes should be developed, and ART statistics need to emphasize the birth rate of healthy infants,as well as rates of malformations, neonatal morbidity and mortality, abnormalities of pregnancy and child development. ②An interdisciplinary research team is of strategic importance to successful translational medicine research on Reproduction Safety. ③Clear distinction should be made to evaluate and monitor ART preclinical research,small-scale clinic trial and randomized, controlled clinical studies.
