Study and Current Status of Male Vas Sterilization in China

Abstract: The methods that are available for male fertility control are namely coitus interrupters,
condom and vas sterilization. In the recent 30 years,investigators in China made improvement of vasectomy in
order to enhance contraceptive efficacy and reduce complications. The improved vas sterilization was divided
into occlusive and non-occlusive methods. It is crucial to develop safe,effective and reversible male
contraceptive methods. Among the methods for male contraception that are being investigated,improved
surgical approach is close to clinical application.
