Abstract: The advanced glycation end products (AGEs) are a group of reactive cross-linked molecules formed by the non-enzymatic glycation of proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids. AGEs product and accumulate quickly in condition of aging, hyperglycemia, insulin resistance, oxidative stress, inflammation, diabetes, atherosclerosis and other diseases. AGEs cause harmful effect on tissues and cells by binding to their receptor (RAGE). A soluble isoform of RAGE (sRAGE) palys a protective role as a decoy receptor, which could be a new way to interfere with AGEs. In the past years, the roles of AGEs and RAGE in female reproductive health were studied with concern. The high level of AGEs was found to be related to polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis and poor outcome of ART. And the high level of AGEs may lead to high rates of preeclampsia, preterm birth and gestational diabetes. High level of AGEs can be lowered though life style modification and drug targeting to improve female reproductive function and ART outcomes in sterility women.
