Luteotropic Hormone and Growth and Development of Follicle

Abstract: Luteotropic hormone is one of gonadotropins, synthesised and secreted by anterior pituitary gland under the stimulation of gonadotropin?-releasing hormone from hypothalamus. It plays important roles in regulation of follicular growth and development, including activation of primordial follicle, oocyte development, selection of advantageous follicle, and induced ovulation. LH is also closely related to the ovulation obstacles.
