Abstract: With the wide application of preimplantation genetic diagnosis （PGD），the safety issue of embryo biopsy was emphasized again. The technique points，such as biopsy stages and methods of zona drilling，may have impact on the embryo development after biopsy. Current study on the safety of embryo biopsy mainlyfocused on two stages，the first stage from biopsy to blastocyst development，and the second stage from birth totwo years old. No data was available for the long term safety of adults born after PGD.
