Abstract: Analysis on the survey data of migrants in six cities of China in the second half of 2010 showed that migrant workers usually work longer hours. Their leisure life was affected by the limited time, and low-class activities for recreation. Major reasons of poor leisure life in migrants were as follows: lower income in general, imperfect leisure-consumption concept, poor social identity to their workplaces, and difficulties for them to enjoy local recreational resources. Based on these findings, we put forward several policy suggestions how to improve the leisure life of the employed migrants.
