Abstract: The incidence rate of infertility is approximately 10%-15% in reproductive age women in China. Infertility is a kind of psychological damages to most of the infertile patients. IVF-ET can bring new stress to these patients along with the treatment benefits. It also could cause anxiety and depression. Most research on the emotional impacts of IVF-ET treatment focused on pre-IVF stage, IVF stage and post-IVF and abandon stage. Most patients can properly adapt to their emotional sufferings, but some patients do experience psychological and behavioral changes which even cause treatment failure. Those patients need psychological treatment and more cares provided by professional medical staffs.
