Abstract: Ovarian stimulation has been a key component of assisted reproductive technologies (ART). At present, a long gonadotrophin-releasing hormone agonist(GnRHa) pituitary suppression regimen combined with relatively high dose of exogenous follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH) remains the most frequent using for stimulation protocol. But currently used medication regimens for ovarian stimulation are complex, expensive, may require weeks of daily injections. Such protocol is also associated with the risk of complications such as ovarian hyperstimulation. It is necessary to seek better protocols for ovarian stimulation. Contribute to the use of gonadotrophin-releasing hormone antagonists(GnRHA), the clinical application of mild ovarian stimulation IVF has been wildly opened. Comparing with routine ovarian stimulation protocol, the mild protocols use of lower dosage of gonadotrophin may shorten the treatment time and reduce the risk of complications of ovarian hyperstimulation which were not at cost of impaired pregnancy rate.
