Abstract: Tubal ectopic pregnancy still remains a potentially life-threatening diseases. Sex steroid hormones and their receptors, including estrogen receptor(ER), progesterone receptor(PR) and androgen receptor(AR), play important roles on fallopian tubal physiology and pathology. Those receptors are expressed in the fallopian tubes, and have time and region?-characteristics. Among them, ER and PR may participate pathogenesis of tubal ectopic pregnancy through mediating ciliary activity and the tubal smooth muscle activity.
