Abstract: The improvement of radiotherapy and chemotherapy results in the increases in young cancer survival rates. Unfortunately, many of the treatments are toxic to the ovarian function, finite supply of oocytes and diminish a woman’s chance of future childbearing. Young female cancer survivors have put added emphasis on the need for fertility preservation services. Assisted reproductive techniques（ＡＲＴ） and fertility-sparing surgery are currently available options to increase the likelihood of childbearing after cancer treatment. The currently available options for fertility preservation should be discussed with every patient who is in their reproductive years prior to initiating any treatments. Fertility preservation strategies and protocols should be discussed and performed individually to every cancer patient. As a result, survivors of breast cancer, lymphoma and some ovarian tumors could obtain their child currently. Reproductive clinicians should work closely with oncologists to counsel patients about the treatment on their future fertility and discuss options to preserve potential fertility before starting treatments. Greater emphasis should therefore be placed on fertility preservation during the cancer treatment planning process.
