Effects of Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) on Mammalian Reproductive System: A Review

Abstract: DEHPs,chemicals contained abundantly in many industrial products,had severe adverse effects on mammalian reproductive system involved in both male and female development. The development of mammalian reproductive system is related to a variety of hormones and the regulation of genes. DEHPs could interfer the key steps of hormone metabolism or gene expression. This review focused on the toxic effects of DEHP,and its mechanism,which is important for clinic to prevent,diagnose and treat the diseases of reproductive system.
