The Levonorgestrel-releasing Intrauterine System: An Updated Review of the Noncontraceptive Uses

Abstract: The levonorgestrel releasing intrauterine system is an effective and safe form of long-term yet reversible birth control. Nowadays, it has been used to treat the menorrhagia and release the painful of endometriosis/adenomyosis, and it also shows the effect of anti-endometrial hyperplasia while using the tamoxifen or hormone replacement therapy.
