Abstract: More and more patients seem to suffer from the diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) in those infertility populations. How to improve the outcome of IVF-ET in those patients is still a problem. Recently, the first randomized prospective study, and other studies, showed that dehydroepiandrosterone(DHEA)supplementation could improve ovarian reserve, increase pregnancy rates and lower miscarriage rates by reducing aneuploidy. It is necessary to explore the effect of androgens on folliculogenesis and ovulation induction. There was a hypothesis that the diminished ovarian reserve was due to the poor ovarian environments, but not oocytes themselves. DHEA may be a new agent to improve the aging ovarian environments.
