Abstract: The trans-vaginal ultrasound-guided immature follicle puncture(IMFP) is a new minimally invasive operative method to treat polycystic ovary syndrome, following ovarian wedge resection and laparoscopic ovarian drilling. IMFP can ameliorate the endocrine environment, promote ovulation, reestablish regular menstrual cycle, and increase the sensibility to ovarian stimulation medicine. Compared with the traditional operations,IMFP has simpler procedure, more minimal surgical invasion and fewer complications. However, the detailed mechanism of IMFP is still unclear, and the standard protocol also needs more discussion.
