Abstract: Genomic imprinting means the differential expression of allele genes which derivatived from either parents. The relationship between assisted reproductive technology(ART) and abnormalities in genomic imprinting needs further study in the field of fertility safety. ART comprises several steps, including the controlled ovarian stimulation (COS), in vitro fertilization (IVF)/intra?鄄cytoplasmic single sperm injection (ICSI), in vitro maturation (IVM), embryo transfer (ET), etc. It is not clear which step of ART and how to give rise to abnormalities in genomic imprinting. On the basis of infertility, COS, IVM, IVF/ICSI and embryo manipulation could lead to abnormalities in genomic imprinting to varying degrees, from a different perspective.
