Abstract: Objective: To investigate the clinical outcomes of in vitro fertilization or intracytoplasmic sperm injection-embryo transfer (IVF/ICSI-ET) in patients after transcervical resection of septum (TCRS). Methods:Clinical data of 35 infertile women with a history of TCRS and underwent IVF/ICSI-ET from January 2010 to December 2014 were analyzed retrospectively. Seventy patients with a normal uterus and received IVF/ICSI-ET homeochronously were randomly selected as control. The IVF/ICSI-ET outcomes of both groups were compared. Results:Patients with a history of TCRS had a significantly higher miscarriage rate than the control group (Z=6.224,P<0.001). There were no significant differences in the patients′ age, infertility duration, number of oocytes retrieved, rates of fertilization and high quality embryo, rates of clinical pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy, rates of live birth and preterm delivery between two groups (P>0.05). Conclusions:After abnormal morphology of the uterine cavity were rectified by TCRS, infertile patients with uterus septum could achieve satisfactory IVF outcomes.
