Abstract: Along with the rapid development of industrialization, the environmental air pollution is increasingly serious. Investigation shows that air pollution may lead to respiratory disease, cardiovascular disease and cerebrovascular disease. In recent years, studies showed that air pollution also affected women health, especially the effect of air pollution on pregnancy complications has received extensive attention in the world. The gestational hypertensive disorder and gestational diabetes mellitus are the most common two pregnancy complications. The physiological characteristics of pregnant women, such as the increased blood volume, the increased cardiac load, leukocytosis, the accelerated slightly breathing frequency and the increased fat deposition, make pregnant women and fetus to be susceptible to pollutants and to increase exposure to air pollutants.
