Health-related Quality of Life and Psychological Disorders in Women with PCOS

Abstract: Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) may have negative effect on health-related quality of life(HRQoL), psychosexuality, body satisfaction and social contacts. PCOS is also a main cause for psychological disorders(depression and anxiety). Clinical treatment of PCOS may improve HRQoL and also have positive effect on psychological disorders, psychosexuality, body satisfaction and social contacts. There are a array of instruments to measure HRQoL, of whihc SF?-36 is most commonly used and PCOSQ is specially made for PCOS.
