Research Progresses on the Anticancer Mechanisms of Natural Terpenes in Cervical Cancer

Abstract: More and more Chinese herbal medicine is used for the therapy of cervical cancer, as its high?-efficiency and low-toxin advantages are gradually recognized. Terpenes is a class of important compounds in Chinese herbal medicine. Recently, a variety of terpenoids with anti?-tumor activity have been found, such as artemisinin, Cinnamomum camphora alcohol, oridonin and soyasaponins. Among them, paclitaxel has been widely used in the treatment of cervical cancer and achieved an efficient therapeutic effects. Now, the anti?-cancer mechanism of terpenes is a research topic. In this review, we comprehensively discussed the progresses of anti?鄄cancer mechanisms of terpenoid substances in cervical cancer.
