Abstract: Many cases of cervical cancer are diagnosed in young woman who wish to preserve their fertility. As more and more women are delaying childbearing, and childbearing policy has been newly regulated in China, fertility preservation has become an important consideration in those patients with cervical cancer. It is an objective of gynecological oncology doctors, and a research hotspot, how to preserve fertility and improve living quality while treat their cancer. Radical trachelectomy (RT) can provide more fertile chance for those young patients with the cervical cancer at early stage. By reviewing literatures, we mainly discussed the selection criteria for fertility-sparing surgery, the specific surgery approach, and the oncological and pregnancy outcomes after fertility-sparing surgery.
