Abstract: Chronic hepatitis B, the largest infectious disease in China which damaged to health seriously, should be given wide attention. With the rising incidence of hepatitis B patients and the rapid development of assisted reproductive technology(ART), the transmission of hepatitis B virus during ART become a hot topic. when ART was applied in those chronic hepatitis B patients, there was probability of cross-infection or the risk of nosocomial infection because of improper operation and poor management. Hepatitis B virus could spread to both normal gametes and embryos, even transmit to medical technicians. However, scientific and rational implementation of ART can reduce the risk of virus transmission to progeny. In this review, we discussed the risk and prevention of transmission of hepatitis B virus in ART.
