Abstract: Objective: To explore the different effect of different cryoprotective containing estrogen on
human spermatozoa. Methods: Each semen came from healthy patient will be divided into five copies, one
copy was as control group, and the other four copies were as experimental group which were preserved by
cryopreservativemedium泽(悦PMs)with glycerol, glycerol鄄eygyolk鄄sodium(GYC), glycerol+estrogen and GYC+
estrogen. The cryoprotective effects of human spermatozoa were evaluated by conventional semen analysis,
viability, motility, morphology and spermatozoa hypo鄄osmotic swelling rate (HOSR). Results: During the
procedure of cryoprotective and thawing, different CPM had different protective effect on the spermatozoa,
which showed significantly different(P<0.01), and glycerol and glycerol鄄eygyolk鄄sodium(GYC)group were
decreased significantly than the other two groups(P<0.01). The parameters in the the group of GYC+E2 were
significantly higher than those of in the group of glycerol +E2 (P<0.01). Conclusions: The cryoprotectant
containing estrogen can increase the function of cryopreserved sperm.
